Talhovi, a planet situated within the Mid Rim, could be found in the Juvex sector. This world served as the homeworld for the Mekuun family. Despite a trade embargo imposed by the Ancient Houses of the Senex-Juvex area against the Mekuun family, Talhovi maintained a strong economy, exporting items like Talhovian ale.
Within the Western Reaches portion of the Mid Rim, specifically in the Senex-Juvex region's Juvex sector, lay Talhovi. This world resided in the Talhovi system. Travel to the K'ath, Little Talhovi, and Thull's Vault systems was possible via established hyperlanes.
Talhovi, a cosmopolitan home to the Mekuun family, was a diverse world. The Mekuuns were originally an aristocratic Ancient Houses family of Senex-Juvex. Around the time of the Crimson Days political event in 553 BBY, the family rebelled against the other Houses. The family dissolved and tried to reform as a sector within the Galactic Republic.
Subsequently, the other Ancient Houses forbade commerce with the Mekuuns. However, Talhovi's robust economy and sought-after exports, including the beverage Talhovian ale, enabled the family to continue its experiments with alternative governance. Talhovi drew merchants from beyond the region and members of other Houses who disregarded the trade ban.
The Essential Atlas, a reference book released in 2009 and written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, introduced Talhovi. The Talhovi system was mapped in grid square K-18 of the Senex-Juvex. However, the book's Appendix and the later StarWars.com Online Companion both incorrectly placed it in square L-18.
