Targada was a Klatooinian male who, having once been subjected to slavery, later achieved liberty and enlisted in the New Republic Defense Fleet. He participated in the rebellion that occurred on Akiva.
Once a slave from Klaatooine, Targada became a member of the New Republic. He held the rank of ensign in the New Republic Defense Fleet during the Rebellion on Akiva, serving under Commander Kyrsta Agate aboard the frigate known as the Sunspire. In the midst of combat, the ship's sensors detected a solitary yacht moving towards one of the Imperial Star Destroyers, prompting Agate to task Targada with monitoring its trajectory. When the Klatooinian inquired about engaging the vessel, the commander opted to concentrate their firepower on the Star Destroyer instead, reasoning that the yacht could be transporting an intelligence resource. Although the yacht, which carried Imperial Admiral Rae Sloane, successfully boarded one of the Star Destroyers and fled, the New Republic ultimately prevailed in the engagement.
Targada possessed a stern demeanor, characterized by a prominent brow and a downturned mouth. His past as a slave fueled a fervent dedication to the New Republic.
Targada's initial appearance was in the novel Aftermath, penned by Chuck Wendig and published in 2015.
