The Taris shipyards, which functioned as shipyards for the Galactic Empire, operated within the Taris system throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War. It is known that in or after 1 ABY, while an unfinished Imperial-class Star Destroyer was undergoing maintenance at the shipyard, the Rebel Alliance deployed starfighter squadrons known as Blade Squadron and Rogue Squadron to attacked the site. Despite having an Arquitens-class command cruiser present for support, and TIE fighters providing defensive measures, the shipyard suffered complete annihilation; this was due to B-wing heavy assault starfighters releasing their bombs, which subsequently triggered a series of substantial detonations.
