The Tertiary Fujar system existed within the Tamarin sector of the Outer Rim Territories'. Around the year 214 BBY, the Fujari pirate group had their base of operations located in an asteroid base situated within this system. Subsequent to the events of the Bordal Contagion during that year, the Fujari orchestrated an ambush in the Tertiary Fujar system, forcing a Kett Shipping convoy to exit hyperspace. However, the starships of the pirates, along with their base, were obliterated by the Trade Defense Force escort, which belonged to Kett Shipping's new parent company, the Trade Federation.
The system known as the Tertiary Fujar system was situated within the Tamarin sector of the Outer Rim Territories'. It included at least one asteroid.
By the time the Bordal Contagion occurred in 214 BBY, the pirate organization referred to as the Fujari was running operations from an asteroid base in the Tertiary Fujar system. Around this period, the Fujari frequently seized starship convoys operated by Kett Shipping, a company based in the Rseik sector, that traveled along the Sanrafsix Corridor hyperlane.
Following the Bordal Contagion, Kett Shipping became a member of the Trade Federation, and the latter's armed Trade Defense Force vessels accompanied the subsequent convoy sent by Kett Shipping along the Sanrafsix Corridor. Upon encountering a screen of ice asteroids, the fleet emerged from hyperspace within the Tertiary Fujar system. The Fujari, unaware of the new allies of their intended target, approached the convoy. However, their ships were swiftly defeated within a single hour by the Federation forces, and the pirates' base was reduced to nothing more than an asteroid crater. The Tertiary Fujar system eventually found mention in the memoirs of Firmus Kett, a captain in the Trade Defense Force.

Originally, the Tertiary Fujar system was going to be mentioned in the 2012 reference book titled The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart. However, the sidebar that would have featured the star system was removed prior to the book's publication.
Later, in 2014, the information about the Tertiary Fujar system was released as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut. This was a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss, containing various pieces of content that had been cut from The Essential Guide to Warfare. The Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, hosted on StarWars.com, placed the system in grid square N-19.
