The Executioner

A reluctant acolyte of Exar Kun, The Executioner wielded the dark side of the Force as a Force-user.

History

Before his unwilling servitude to Exar Kun, the being known as the Executioner was a student enrolled at Corellia University. It is possible that he was among the members of an archaeological dig on Yavin 4 in 1 ABY that inadvertently breached the tombs beneath the Temple of Exar Kun, thus freeing the spirit of the Sith Lord. This malevolent spirit then bent the students and researchers to his will, initiating them into the Cult of Exar Kun. Subsequently, he dispatched them to Talus, specifically to the Corellia University research outpost from which they originated, with the aim of enslaving the inhabitants. The majority of these enslaved individuals were then transported back to Yavin 4. After communications with the outpost broke down, and fearing the worst, Professor Cornelius Wagglehorn contracted a group of spacers to journey to Talus and investigate the situation. The spacers uncovered the events that had transpired and relayed this information back to the professor. He then provided them with the coordinates of the tomb and urged them to destroy the evil Sith Lord's spirit contained within. The Executioner, as one of the dark Force-users' enslaved by Exar Kun's spirit, confronted the spacers alongside the Caretaker of the Lost Souls. However, the spacers were successful in defeating all of the corrupted students, including The Executioner, before confronting the Dark Lord's spirit directly.

Behind the scenes

Every possible depiction of the Executioner in Star Wars Galaxies

The Executioner existed as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its shutdown on December 15, 2011. The Executioner's inclusion in the game was part of the "Exar Kun" Heroic Encounter, which was introduced with the release of the "Chapter 9" update on April 3, 2008.

Due to the Executioner's appearance in the game as a standard Exar Kun cultist, the character's gender and physical appearance were randomly generated each time the server was reset.
