The ForceCast, previously known as TFN Podcast, serves as the official podcast network for both TheForce.net and Rebelscum.com. Showcasing a varied selection of programs, The ForceCast delivers news, interviews, event reporting, and discussions concerning the Star Wars universe and its fanbase. Frequently, Lucasfilm representatives along with Star Wars actors and production team members make appearances on the shows to talk about current happenings. The main show, also named The ForceCast, releases new episodes on Fridays, with each episode averaging around ninety minutes.
Erik Blythe initially produced the first official podcast for TheForce.Net; however, he had to leave the show because of outside conflicts. Dustin Roberts, the Content Manager for TheForce.net, organized a competition to find Blythe's replacement, and Jason Swank and Pete Nadel were chosen to continue the podcast. Later, Jimmy Mac joined them. In September of 2008, Nadel departed from the show, and Jimmy Mac took on the role of co-host.
At Celebration V, Dave Filoni, the Supervising Director of TCW, acknowledged Jason and Jimmy's significant contributions to Star Wars fandom. He presented them with plaques to commemorate their induction into his 104th Wolf Pack, recognizing their dedication to the Star Wars community. Filoni noted that only fifteen of these plaques exist.
On January 13, 2013, it was announced that Jason and Jimmy would be leaving TheForce.Net and Rebelscum.com, as well as The ForceCast, to create their own podcast called Rebel Force Radio. On February 13, 2013, Philip Wise, the webmaster for TFN/Rebelscum/ForceCast, revealed the relaunch of the ForceCast network. Erik Blythe, the original host of the TFN Podcast, and Eric Geller became the new co-hosts of The ForceCast. On June 20, 2014, Blythe and Geller announced that Justin Bolger, who had been a substitute co-host, would become a permanent co-host. Bolger subsequently left the show's full-time co-host position.
On February 13, 2015, Geller announced his departure from the main show's hosting role. In March 2016, Erik Blythe also left the network, leading to the show's cancellation. On September 4th, 2017, the ForceCast was revived with Ryan Donoho and Daniel Berry, formerly of Podcast 66, as the new hosts.
