The saloon known as The Lodge, a boisterous establishment, was situated in Fort Ypso on the planet of Vandor, and its proprietor was Tibbs Ospe. Within its walls, one could find a gambling hall, a droid combat arena, and lodging accommodations. Furthermore, the Lodge was home to a musical group consisting of a Nithorn vocalist and a pair of human musicians. Daring scouts used its bar as a place to strategize expeditions, gamblers attempted to recoup their losses at the sabacc table, and its shadowy corners provided ideal locations for carrying out clandestine dealings.
It was in the Lodge that Han Solo initially encountered Lando Calrissian, leading to a sabacc game involving several other players. Tam Posla was among those observing the game.
Elements of the Lodge's architectural design, notably the droid-fighting pit, drew inspiration from discarded concept artwork created for Takodana Castle in the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.
