The Takodana's third moon was characterized by its rocky terrain and a prominent sinkhole. This sinkhole served as a habitat for multiple varactyls, creatures that laid eggs visually similar to golden spheres. These varactyl eggs were highly sought after commodities in the black market. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, the criminal Hondo Ohnaka dispatched the Freemakers, accompanied by their B1-series battle droid Roger, on a mission to pilfer three of these golden orbs. Following a brief conflict, Rowan Freemaker successfully employed the Force to establish communication with the varactyls, expressing remorse for their attempted egg theft. After fixing Roger, the Freemakers made their way back to Maz Kanata's castle to face Hondo and his crew.
The initial depiction of Takodana's third moon occurred in "The Test," an episode from the non-Canon series LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, which was initially broadcast on July 25, 2016. The presence of this moon contradicted information presented in the 2016 Canon reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, which asserted that Takodana was a planet without any moons.
