Thrag served as a captain under the command of Thrackan Sal-Solo. He was the commanding officer of the assault boat deployed to seize the planetary repulsor located on Drall. In contrast to his duties, he was a stout, portly individual who preferred alcoholic beverages over his obligations to Sal-Solo.
Despite his reputation, which was not unlike many others within the Human League, Thrag possessed a degree of personal honor. Although the assault boat had sustained significant damage from an unexpected ambush, Thrackan ordered him to chase the Millennium Falcon. Thrag attempted to dissuade him, arguing that it would endanger the entire crew. Thrackan countered that they all faced potential execution for neglecting their duties. Following the unsuccessful chase, Thrag couldn't resist taunting Thrackan after the Falcon, piloted by the young Jacen Solo with Jaina manning the guns, had defeated the "mighty Diktat".
Furthermore, Captain Thrag held a peculiar view of Sal-Solo's leadership, often seeing him more as an acquaintance than a commanding officer. Unlike many other recruits, Thrag followed his orders without displaying fear.
