Storyline Summary

Kit Fisto rescues Aayla Secura by sharing his breath with her.

Set a few months following the events of the Battle of Geonosis, Jedi Knight Aayla Secura and Jedi Master Kit Fisto found themselves stationed on the world of Kamino. While present, the Jedi discovered several deceased Clone troopers. Following an investigation conducted by the Kaminoan scientists, it was determined that the troopers had been infected with a nano-virus. After a visit with master cloner Sayn Ta, they came to the realization that a traitor existed within the facility. Fisto and Secura pursued the traitor, ultimately facing a group of super battle droids provided to the treacherous Kuma Nai by the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Fisto launched his lightsaber at the fleeing traitor's starship, triggering an explosion. The resulting blast propelled Secura from the landing platform and into the ocean depths. As she attempted to resurface, she found herself weighed down by a sinking battle droid. Fisto, possessing amphibious abilities, dove in to save her, sharing his breath to sustain them both. Aayla managed to return to the platform, only to be seized by Kuma Nai, who threatened her with the nano-virus injector. Aayla broke free and forced the injector into Kuma Nai's arm, resulting in the Kaminoan's immediate death.

The rescue of Aayla by Fisto represented a pivotal moment, igniting a pre-existing connection between them. Echoing the bond between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi, this relationship tested the boundaries of the Jedi Code.
