The TIE scout, alternatively called a scout-class TIE, represented a starfighter modification within the TIE family of Imperial warships. This particular model featured a hyperdrive system and was primarily deployed for reconnaissance operations. Echoing the design principles of all space crafts from the Imperial Era TIE series, the scout ship was produced by Sienar Fleet Systems.
A functioning TIE scout existed among the wreckage of the second Death Star on Kef Bir at the time of the Resistance's mission to Kef Bir. This mission occurred significantly after the Death Star's destruction above Endor. Ben Solo, being marooned, utilized it to leave the ocean moon and journey to the remote Sith planet of Exegol in 35 ABY. The Jedi successfully navigated the planet's turbulent atmosphere, landing the space craft near the Sith Citadel. He then proceeded on foot to face the Sith Lord Darth Sidious in a final confrontation.
