A male Human stormtrooper known as Tk-216 served the Galactic Empire during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Originating from the planet Gala, Tk-216 was a stormtrooper within the ranks of the Galactic Empire. Following the Battle of Yavin, he found himself stationed in proximity to an Imperial Research and Prison Facility situated on the isolated world of Dathomir. At this location, the Empire engaged in clandestine and perilous scientific endeavors, with the goal of bio-engineering the terrifying Blackwing virus to produce enhanced soldiers. In the year 1 ABY, an incident transpired at the Imperial Research Facility, leading to an outbreak of the virus. The majority of the Imperial personnel perished, transforming into flesh-eating undead beings. Fortunately, Tk-216 survived the onslaught and ultimately succeeded in fleeing the area, thereby avoiding confinement within the swiftly established Quarantine Zone. While awaiting evacuation from the planet, Tk-216, along with others like Illrian Nhagy and Tyla Gallamby, remained near the Quarantine Zone, as independent spacers began arriving on Dathomir to probe the viral outbreak.
In the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, which was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, Tk-216 made an appearance as a non-player character (NPC). The game shut down on December 15, 2011. Tk-216 was integrated into the game through "Game Update 13," which was released on September 30, 2009. This particular NPC was a component of the questline titled "Something is Obviously Wrong," which served as an introduction to the "Death Troopers" update.
A notable characteristic of Tk-216, distinguishing him from most other stormtroopers within the game, is the use of a lowercase "k" in his designation. Whether this was intentional or a mistake on the developers' part remains unclear.
