Tyla Gallamby

Tyla Gallamby was a female Human scientist who existed during the era of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

Following the Battle of Yavin, Tyla Gallamby's place of employment was the Imperial Research and Prison Facility, situated on the isolated world of Dathomir. At this location, the Empire secretly engaged in highly dangerous scientific research, with the goal of bio-engineering the terrifying Blackwing virus to produce super soldiers. In the year 1 ABY, an incident occurred at the Imperial Research Facility, which led to the outbreak of the virus. The majority of the Imperial personnel perished and were transformed into flesh-eating undead beings. Fortunately, Gallamby survived the assault by these creatures and ultimately succeeded in escaping the area, thereby avoiding confinement within the quickly established Quarantine Zone. Subsequently, the woman reported the situation to her commanding officers, but the Imperial High Command then ordered her to appear on the Executor for questioning. Indeed, Darth Vader himself exhibited significant concern regarding the outbreak and hesitated to believe that the Rebellion had no involvement in the incident. Tyla Gallamby, along with others such as Tk-216 and Illrian Nhagy, remained in the vicinity of the Quarantine Zone, awaiting evaluation for removal from the planet, when independent spacers began arriving on Dathomir to investigate the outbreak.

Behind the scenes

Tyla Gallamby was featured as a non-player character (NPC) within the video game Star Wars Galaxies from 2003, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. Gallamby was incorporated into the game through "Game Update 13", which was released on September 30, 2009. This NPC was a component of the questline called "Something is Obviously Wrong," which served as an introduction to the "Death Troopers" update.
