A planetary [trade hub](/article/merchant/legends], Tlactehon existed along the Corellian Run super-hyperroute and was situated within the Kailion sector of the Expansion Region. A group purporting to be from Tlactehon, but actually a front for a smuggling ring, once journeyed to Muunilinst to engage with representatives from the InterGalactic Banking Clan. During the Yuuzhan Vong's invasion of the galaxy, coming from outside the galaxy, the Tlactehon system was under the control of the Yuuzhan Vong until at least 27 ABY.
Found within its own star system of the same designation, Tlactehon was a commercial planet. Specifically, it was located in the Kailion sector of the Expansion Region, within one of the subsectors that comprised the 77 Sectors. Tlactehon was situated along the Corellian Run super-hyperroute between the Allanteen and Spirana systems, functioning as a boundary between the Slice and the Trailing Sectors.
Sometime between 4 ABY and 19 ABY, a Tlactehon delegation, which was actually a front for a smuggling operation supported by members of the Hutt species, traveled to Muunilinst, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. This group was scheduled to prepare for a meeting with InterGalactic Banking Clan representatives at High Port, a space station in orbit around Muunilinst; however, their arrival was delayed due to a mechanical issue with their starship.
Subsequently, another group with a similar composition to the Tlactehon delegation arrived first in the Muunilinst system. Agents from both New Republic Intelligence and the Imperial Security Bureau mistakenly identified this unrelated group as the Tlactehon delegation, each hoping to either disrupt or facilitate the delegation's meeting with the Banking Clan.
At some point between 25 ABY and 26 ABY, the Yuuzhan Vong, a species from outside of the galaxy, passed through the Tlactehon system during their conquest of the galaxy. The star system remained under the control of these invaders until at least 27 ABY.
Tlactehon was initially referenced in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds, a 2004 sourcebook by Wizards of the Coast. The book presents an adventure seed designed for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, and this article operates under the assumption that the scenario unfolds as described. The book suggests that gamemasters, when adapting the scenario for the Rebellion era setting, should replace the New Republic agents interested in the Tlactehon delegation with agents of the Rebel Alliance. The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book, placed the Tlactehon system, and therefore Tlactehon itself, within grid square O-13.
