Toral, an Imperial BFF-1 bulk freighter, transported Wookiee slaves originating from Kashyyyk to the Death Star I to perform labor. The vessel was protected by the latest Assault Gunboats. After acquiring knowledge about the Wookiees from captives liberated from Stars' End, the Rebel Alliance dispatched a group to rescue them. Samuel Raider, Keyan Farlander, along with Toalagar of Red Squadron, piloted R-22 Spearheads to engage and eliminate the defending Gunboats, but Toalagar perished in the conflict. Subsequently, Raider and Farlander fended off TIE starfighters deployed from the Imperial-class Star Destroyer named Intrepid, while Y-wings belonging to Blue Squadron rendered the freighter inoperable. A Rebel shuttle then docked, and the slaves were freed.
Papers found onboard the ship revealed its scheduled rendezvous with a larger convoy near Orron III, intended to provide resources for a clandestine Imperial initiative.
