Torrent wisp trees were a type of tree that were native to Concordia. Concordia is a moon of Mandalore located in the Outer Rim Territories, and these trees were a species that thrived there. The trees were easily recognizable due to their windswept aesthetic, where the leaves all pointed in a unified direction, mirroring the curve of the trunk. Their bark was brown, they possessed green leaves, and vines cascaded down from these leaves. Across Concordia's rural landscapes, torrent wisp trees were a common sight, often bordering the walkways and trails of the area.
The initial appearance of torrent wisp trees, though initially without a specific designation, occurred in "The Mandalore Plot." This episode was the twelfth installment of season two of the animated show Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and it premiered on January 29, 2010. Later, in the reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, published in 2017, the trees were given their official name.
