In 32 BBY, the Trade Federation Droid Army launched an invasion of Naboo, and during this period, the airbase was constructed near the southern ridge of Theed, Naboo's capital city.
During a skirmish in Widow's Valley involving a Trade Federation convoy, Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes piloted his bomber and released a proton bomb onto the base, which ignited flammable materials, leading to the complete annihilation of the Airbase.
Lieutenant Sykes dedicated the destruction of the Airbase as a tribute to the Queen of Naboo. The base was in the process of preparing for an assault when it was destroyed.
This base is featured in a mission within the video game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo, released in 2000. The game presents the player with the objective of destroying the base, although completing this objective is optional and does not affect the game's progression.
