Trasemene

Trasemene, a planet, existed in the Outer Rim Territories and was specifically located within the Phelleem sector. During the Clone Wars, specifically in 19 BBY, this planet was affiliated with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. A significant battle occurred there, resulting in the Galactic Empire's navy defeating the Separatist holdout's fleet, which was commanded by Toonbuck Toora. The Siege of Trasemene shares its designation with this planet.

Description

Found within the Trasemene system, Trasemene resided in the Phelleem sector of the Outer Rim Territories, specifically within the region known as the Slice. Its location on the Triellus Trade Route super-hyperroute connected it with the Handooine and Jabiim systems, in addition to the Sy Myrth system within the Jospro sector.

History

Trasemene was the site of a battle during the Sy Myrthian Insurrection.

During the early stages of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, Trasemene was within the space controlled by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Galactic Republic's Twelfth Sector Army was tasked with confronting the Confederate forces in the area. Three years later, following the conclusion of the Clone Wars and the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire, Trasemene continued to be part of the territory held by the Separatist holdout under the leadership of Toonbuck Toora, a Sy Myrthian. In that year, the Empire's naval force destroyed Toora's fleet at Trasemene. By 17 BBY, Trasemene was situated inside Imperial territory.

The name Trasemene is also associated with the Siege of Trasemene, which occurred at some point between 19 BBY and 3 ABY. As of 17 ABY, the planet remained outside the boundaries of the New Republic.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of Trasemene occurred within the title of the Siege of Trasemene in Galladinium's Fantastic Technology, a sourcebook from 1995 by Rick D. Stuart for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. In 2012, Trasemene was established as a specific astronomical object in The Essential Guide to Warfare, a reference book by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart. The 2009 reference The Essential Atlas situated the Trasemene system, and by extension the planet, in grid square S-7.
