Trident Group Two was a squadron consisting of five droid tri-fighters acting as a starfighter unit. This group served the Confederacy of Independent Systems in their conflict with the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. During the Battle of Sullust, which occurred in 20 BBY, Trident Group Two was a component of the Separatist fleet under the command of Asajj Ventress, the Sith apprentice. In preparation for an assault, Trident Group Two moved to a position next to the Banshee, Ventress's own starfighter, to get their instructions. Ventress, after issuing commands to Trident group one, dispatched the droid starfighter contingent of Trident Group Two to attack the Resolute, a Venator-class Star Destroyer, with specific orders to target the vessel's port-side shield generators. Trident Group Two successfully executed their attack, enabling Ventress's forces to obliterate the Resolute. Nevertheless, in spite of this success, the Republic ultimately won the battle.
The animated television show Star Wars: The Clone Wars featured Trident Group Two in the episode "Nightsisters," which was the twelfth episode of the third season. It was originally broadcast on January 7, 2011.
