Tsyklen were a sapient race that originated on the world of Tsyk, situated within Hutt Space. Their species was distinguished by remarkable eyesight and exceptionally agile appendages, each possessing nine digits. The Tsyklen had a reputation for being cunning, and the Hutts regarded them as a valuable client species. During the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion, the Yuuzhan Vong aggressors assaulted the Tsyklen native planet.
Hailing from the Tsyk system, the Tsyklen were a sentient species that called the planet Tsyk their home. They exhibited at least one gender, female. Their bodies were generally round, covered in taut, glabrous skin, and they possessed prominent orbs that provided them with superior vision. The Tsyklen were notable for their particularly dexterous hands, each featuring seven fingers and a pair of opposable thumbs. Their long, slender digits could easily be mistaken for tentacles.
As far back as 4000 BBY, the Tsyklen homeworld was considered a part of Hutt Space, and the Hutts, who governed the region, valued the species as a key client. Tsyk suffered severe pollution. The Yuuzhan Vong War saw the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong invade and attempt to seize control of the galaxy from 25 ABY to 29 ABY; during this period, the Yuuzhan Vong launched an attack on Tsyk between 26 ABY and 27 ABY. By 27 ABY, Tsyk was under the control of the invaders. Following the Yuuzhan Vong's defeat at the conclusion of 29 ABY, the planet eventually returned to Hutt Space. It remained under their control in 137 ABY.
One female Tsyklen, at a minimum, departed from her homeworld. She was regarded as the most skilled identity forger on the planet Nar Hekka in 5 BBY. In that year, the Human contraband runner Han Solo engaged her services to produce falsified identification for himself and his Wookiee companion, Chewbacca. Her exceptional manual skill and acute vision made her ideally suited for her profession, enabling her to simultaneously operate two holo-scribers.
The Tsyklen made their initial appearance in The Hutt Gambit, a novel published in 1997 as the second book in The Han Solo Trilogy, authored by A. C. Crispin.
