The Yuuzhan Vong male named Tu Shoolb held the position of intendant within the Domain Shoolb, serving the Yuuzhan Vong empire. He was an aide to Prefect Da'Gara on the latter's worldship during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion targeting the galaxy. En route to the planet Helska IV aboard the worldship, he cautioned Da'Gara against increasing speed, arguing that an asteroid—the guise of Gara's worldship—would not "obviously" accelerate. Nevertheless, the prefect ignored his advice, eager to arrive.
Tu Shoolb, a male Yuuzhan Vong, was a part of the Domain Shoolb family within his species' empire. He provided assistance during the Vong invasion of the galaxy under the command of Prefect Da'Gara aboard the prefect's worldship. In the year 25 ABY, when Gara instructed Shoolb to accelerate the worldship, Shoolb warned the prefect that altering the worldship's velocity could alert observers, specifically members of the Extragalactic Society—an organization dedicated to the search for life beyond the galaxy—because natural celestial objects don't exhibit such sudden acceleration, potentially leading them to investigate the vessel.
The prefect then questioned his subordinate, asking if he believed that the Vong agent Yomin Carr had disobeyed his orders to kill them, prompting Shoolb to apologize using the Belek tiu phrase of the Yuuzhan Vong language. Subsequently, the Domain Shoolb member, complying with Gara's orders, used the dovin basals to accelerate the worldship, propelling it forward. Despite briefly reconsidering his decision, Gara did not rescind the command, driven by his eagerness to reach their destination, the planet of Helska IV.
Tu Shoolb made his debut appearance in the 1999 novel titled The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime, authored by R. A. Salvatore, marking the inaugural installment in the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order novel series.
