Following the Battle of Takodana in 34 ABY, Tuggs shared the Golden Lichen Tuile recipe in The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, his cookbook that also incorporated them into the Nectrose Freeze recipe.
The debut of tuiles within Star Wars canon occurred in the 2019 publication, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, authored by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel alongside Marc Sumerak. In actuality, tuiles represent a French cookie style, traditionally composed of almonds.
