Tyric (Shaliz'Na)

Tyric, a music-loving Shaliz'Na native to the heavily wooded planet Shar'Ack, stood approximately 2.14 meters tall. Possessing a powerful build, he also had a twelve-foot wingspan, talon-like nails, dark hair, and a light covering of downy feathers. His residence on Shar'Ack led to alcoholism, an issue likely stemming from the planet's abundant supply of alcohol. In contrast to the laser weaponry prevalent throughout the galaxy, he favored the projectile-based weapons of his home world, typically carrying two slugthrowers and a mini-submachinegun.

His struggles with alcoholism were still prominent when he first encountered Kelly Vermillion, leading to a significant death wish fueled by his inability to break free from the addiction. With the assistance of Kelly and others, he began his journey toward recovery, recognizing that ultimately, overcoming the habit was his own responsibility. Renowned for his willingness to risk everything (except his friends) for art, he frequently accepted paintings, sculptures, and other decorative items as payment for his performances, instead of credits. He consistently endeavored to compose music and found pleasure in listening to other musicians.

On one occasion, while performing at Maizie's, a bar located on the planet Mandrine, Kronus and his henchmen initiated a violent altercation. Fortunately, he spotted a thermal detonator dropped by a recently deceased combatant. Reacting swiftly, he seized the detonator and hurled it at Kronus, resulting in the latter's demise, before it could explode.

Subsequently, he and the rest of Kelly's team journeyed to the spice mines of Kessel, where they acquired the Long Shot, which they then renamed the Menagerie in recognition of their group. Eventually, Tyric successfully conquered his alcohol dependence, which positively impacted the quality and beauty of his musical compositions.
