Ukabi was a cyborg of Human male origin who made his home on Nar Shaddaa. His life unfolded during the Cold War era, a period of tension between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Functioning as a crime lord, his choice to remain independent from the Empire sparked a conflict. This ultimately led to his death and inflicted significant damage on his organization's presence on the planet.
Ukabi was the head of a criminal organization connected to the Exchange, operating within the Corellian Sector of Nar Shaddaa's. In the year 3643 BBY, the Imperial diplomat Maro Vizhen was tasked with overseeing the formation of the Shadow Syndicate. This syndicate was intended to unite four influential crime bosses, including Ukabi, into an alliance with the Sith Empire. However, Ukabi chose to decline the invitation to join.
Because Ukabi's activities became both an annoyance and a danger to the Empire's goals, Maro Vizhen hired an individual loyal to the Empire to undermine Ukabi's organization. Ukabi's forces and infrastructure suffered a large-scale attack, prompting him to respond with total warfare. The Empire's agent successfully infiltrated Ukabi's headquarters and eliminated his four most trusted subordinates, only to discover that Ukabi had Vizhen trapped in her own base. Before he could deal with the diplomat, Ukabi was confronted and defeated by the Imperial enforcer.
Ukabi was a formidable fighter. His physical form incorporated numerous cybernetic enhancements designed to improve his survivability and combat skills. He also demonstrated capable and merciless leadership, which led the Empire to acknowledge him as a threat.
