An extraterrestrial female was among the inhabitants of Vyndal that greeted Yeleb when he arrived in their settlement after he crash landed on their planet. She had a child who was easily scared. One solar cycle, she and her young one encountered Kanan Jarrus, a male human who had been compelled to set down in the woods of Vyndal to repair his spacecraft. Noticing that the newcomer was hurt and losing consciousness, she took him to her settlement, where she cared for his injury.
Following this, the non-terrestrial female guided Jarrus to Yeleb, who served as the settlement's guardian and presented himself as a Jedi Knight. Unbeknownst to the female and the other inhabitants, Yeleb was a fraud. However, the newcomer Kanan Jarrus was a true Jedi in hiding, and was being pursued by the Grand Inquisitor, a ruthless enforcer of the Galactic Empire. Despite his lack of actual abilities, Yeleb confronted the Inquisitor, while the extraterrestrial female, her community and Kanan Jarrus fought back against the Imperial shock troopers. In the end, Jarrus tricked the Imperials into departing the planet by making them pursue an empty spacecraft.
When the extraterrestrial female understood that Yeleb had been fatally injured in his confrontation with the Inquisitor, she held him in her arms, where he took his last breath. Bereft of the man who had been her cherished guardian, the extraterrestrial female felt immense despair, believing that her settlement had no future without Yeleb. However, she and her community listened to the words of Kanan Jarrus, who urged them to continue defending themselves and respect their former guardian's bravery.
