Unidentified Aqualish bounty hunter (Upper City)
In the year 3956 BBY, a hunter of bounties from the Aqualish species was in the employ of Davik Kang, a crime lord, and operated on the planet of Taris. During that year, Kang directed this Aqualish, along with a Human bounty hunter, to retrieve 100 credits from an aged merchant who was in debt to him. Unable to provide the full payment, the merchant was to be brought before Kang by the bounty hunters, who planned to kill him as a warning to others who owed money. However, the Galactic Republic soldier Revan intervened, saving the merchant and eliminating both the Aqualish and his Human partner.
Biography
During the era of the Jedi Civil War, a male Aqualish bounty hunter served Davik Kang, a crime lord, operating on the planet of Taris. Kang dispatched the Aqualish and a Human bounty hunter in 3956 BBY to collect a debt of 100 credits from an elderly merchant who had missed his payment time. The two bounty hunters located the merchant in the Upper City and attempted to forcefully extract the money. The merchant, however, possessed only half the required amount, offering it as an initial payment while requesting additional time to acquire the remainder. The bounty hunters refused the merchant's proposition and prepared to deliver him to Kang, who intended to kill him as a deterrent to other delinquent debtors. In fear, the merchant cried out for assistance.
The Galactic Republic soldier Revan, who was searching for the Jedi Knight Bastila Shan on Taris, fortunately heard the merchant's plea. Seeking to aid the man, Revan intervened, demanding that the bounty hunters release him. The Aqualish and his partner, perceiving Revan as an unwelcome witness, launched an attack. Revan, however, eliminated both of them, thereby rescuing the merchant.
Personality and traits
The Aqualish showed allegiance to Kang, strictly adhering to the directives of his employer. Despite the merchant's requests for a partial payment and extended time, the bounty hunter remained determined to bring him before Kang, who would execute him. On the day of his demise, the Aqualish was armed with a blaster and possessed fifty credits. He had blue eyes.
Behind the scenes
This Aqualish bounty hunter is featured as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This documentation aligns with the canonical light side playthrough, although the player, in control of Revan, has multiple options for dealing with the bounty hunters during the game. The player can simply attack them out of spite or choose not to get involved in the dispute. In the latter case, the bounty hunters escort the merchant to Kang. If the player approaches the bounty hunters while adorned in Sith trooper armor, they mistake Revan for a Sith and remind him that Kang has an agreement with the Sith, stipulating that neither side interferes with the other's affairs. Should Revan persist in impersonating the Sith and command the Aqualish and his fellow bounty hunter to free the merchant, they will attack him, asserting that they only take orders from Kang.
