In the year 5 ABY, a bounty hunter from the Tusken Raider species operated within the galaxy. This individual, affiliated with the Grave Tuskens mercenary group, was a bounty hunter recruited by 8t88, a droid who functioned as an information broker. The assignment took place on the moon of Nar Shaddaa, where the Tusken was intended to provide backup and act as a bodyguard for the droid during a meeting between 8t88 and Kyle Katarn, a former agent of the rebel forces. Upon 8t88's orders, the Tusken Raider used his weapon to hold Katarn at bay during their interaction. As the droid departed the scene, the Tusken, alongside a Gran bounty hunter, prepared to kill Katarn. However, their intended victim instinctively drew upon the Force, turning the tables and defeating both bounty hunters. Katarn then left the pair disoriented in a local cantina, proceeding to pursue 8t88.

This Tusken Raider, a male, was among those who left their homeworld of Tatooine to join the ranks of the Grave Tuskens, a mercenary group that eventually served under Maw, a Dark Jedi and enforcer for the Galactic Empire. Under the leadership of Rogg, many Grave Tuskens participated in Imperial operations on the moon of Sulon during the year 5 ABY. However, this particular Tusken Raider chose a different path, becoming a bounty hunter.
During 5 ABY, the droid information broker 8t88 employed the Tusken to act as a bodyguard during a meeting with Kyle Katarn, a former mercenary and Rebel Alliance agent, on Nar Shaddaa. 8t88 also enlisted a Gran bounty hunter to collaborate with the Tusken. Coincidentally, the Gran shared a past with Katarn. Regardless, the meeting was scheduled at the Rimmer's Rest cantina. 8t88 arrived first and engaged in conversation with Katarn, who sought information regarding the death of his father. Though arriving late, the Tusken and Gran appeared as 8t88 revealed what he knew: a warlord named Jerec had murdered Katarn's father. At that moment, the Tusken positioned himself behind Katarn, pressing a DH-17 blaster pistol against the rebel's head while confiscating Katarn's Bryar pistol. 8t88 then revealed his allegiance to Jerec, offering Katarn his life in exchange for information about a holodisc. Katarn refused, prompting 8t88 to leave the cantina, tasking his hired guns with killing Katarn.
Before they could act, the Gran attempted to provoke Katarn, providing him with enough time to seize the Tusken's arm and slam him onto the bar table, disarming both bounty hunters. As the pair regained their composure, Katarn unconsciously tapped into the Force, retrieving his previously confiscated blaster and aiming it at the bounty hunters. Immobilized by Katarn's sudden maneuver, the pair was left dumbfounded as the agent proceeded to pursue 8t88.
This Tusken Raider had skin of a gray hue and black eyes. Like all Grave Tuskens, this individual had removed the mask that typically concealed his face, exposing it to the galaxy. After Katarn employed the Force to retrieve his Bryar pistol, the Tusken was taken aback, pointing out to the Gran how the blaster moved without being touched. According to 8t88, the Tusken's skills were inferior to those of Boba Fett. When Katarn expressed his intention to track down 8t88, the Tusken doubted his ability to do so, citing Nar Shaddaa's maze-like layout. Unbeknownst to him, Katarn had placed a tracking device on 8t88's leg.
The bounty hunter's initial appearance was in the 1997 video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. The bounty hunter was present in the game's second cutscene, where only the arm of an actor was visible. When gameplay started right after the cutscene, the bounty hunter was shown to be a Grave Tusken. However, in the novella adaption written by William C. Dietz, Dark Forces: Rebel Agent, the bounty hunter was described as being a Rodian. In addition, while in the novella and game the bounty hunter is knocked unconscious during the encounter, he is only disarmed during the audio drama and is never rendered completely unconscious. A final difference between versions is that in the game, Katarn steals the bounty hunter's weapon and aims it at the Gran bounty hunter, whereas in the other two sources he uses his own Bryar pistol. This article treats the events from the novella as the correct depiction of events, but treats the individual's species as a Tusken Raider as seen in the game, since the game is the only source to have physically depicted the character.
The actor who portrayed the Tusken character in Dark Forces II's live-action cutscenes was uncredited. In the audio adaption of Rebel Agent, the bounty hunter and his partner are identified by 8t88 as "goons." Credited as Goon 2, as he was the second of the two characters to speak, the character's voice was provided by Bill Slichter.
