A customer of Chagrian descent made his way to a cantina located within the capital city of the planet Pijal, which resides in the Inner Rim, during the year 40 BBY. Inside the cantina, he became drunk and attempted to gain the attention of Selbie, the cantina's hostess, with the intention of spending time alongside her. When Rael Averross, the Jedi Lord Regent of Pijal, entered the establishment, Selbie moved away from the Chagrian to serve the new arrival.
The customer persisted in his attempts to secure the hostess's companionship, initiating a dispute with Averross regarding the Jedi's unkempt look and asserting that he would treat Selbie with greater care than Averross. However, after Averross displayed his lightsaber, the Chagrian threatened to report the Jedi to the authorities for intimidating him. Selbie happily informed the customer that Averross held the position of ruling regent of the planet until Fanry, the Pijali Princess, reached adulthood, leading the intoxicated individual to depart in humiliation. The Chagrian had a large build, horns, and gray-blue skin.
The Chagrian customer was featured in Master & Apprentice, a novel written by Claudia Gray and published in 2019.
