A public house, known as a cantina, existed in the Inner Rim planet [Pijal]'s capital city, situated close to the stables of the Pijali palace. Among those who worked at the establishment were Selbie, who served as the hostess, and a Wookiee bartender. Following a ride on a Pijal varactyl in 40 BBY, Lord Regent Rael Averross, accompanied by his companions, made a visit to the cantina. When a Chagrian patron started to aggressively pursue Selbie, Averross, with evident pleasure, drew his lightsaber and humiliated the patron until he departed. Subsequently, Averross noticed a holoscreen that was showing a Czerka warehouse burning. He exited the establishment without delay, under the impression that the Opposition performance group was responsible for the event.
The cantina was hewn from grimy stone, giving it a dirty look. Because of this, some people thought that the smell of the place was like the smell of the Wookiee bartender. In the days of the Republic Era, the cantina sold alcoholic drinks, and had music playing in a seating area that had a holoscreen.
The cantina was featured in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 book penned by Claudia Gray.
