A COO-series cook droid was on duty in the culinary area of Jabba's Palace after Bib Fortuna seized control following the death of Jabba the Hutt. While Boba Fett, the one-time bounty hunter, and Fennec Shand, a Master Assassin, were sneaking into the palace via a kitchen grate, the COO-series cook droid was in the process of making food with an EV-series sous-chef droid. These two droids detected a noise coming from the grate, which the EV-series assumed was a rat. The cook droid dispatched the sous-chef droid to locate the rat, with the intention of getting in touch with the LEP-series rat catcher, but Fett instead ambushed the EV droid. Leaving its station to engage Fett, the chef droid started rotating the blades on its six arms. Nevertheless, before the droid could launch an assault, Shand approached from the rear and decapitated it.
