A Death Star trooper, identified as a male Human, was on duty within the control room of the second Death Star as the Battle of Endor commenced.
This trooper's assignment placed him in the Death Star II control room, specifically at the superlaser's firing mechanism, during the Battle of Endor, which took place in 4 ABY. As Emperor Palpatine instructed Tiaan Jerjerrod, the commanding officer of the battle station, to use the superlaser without restriction, Superlaser Fire Control commenced the process of locking onto Rebel vessels, including the Liberty, the Urjani, and an MC80 Home One type Star Cruiser. When the superlaser achieved full charge, Jerjerrod would issue the command to unleash its power, at which point the trooper would activate a switch, initiating the superlaser's discharge.
Later, Sergeant Jad Bean took over his duties sometime during the conflict.
The trooper's attire consisted of the regulation Imperial Navy Trooper Uniform, as worn by Imperial Navy troopers.
