A crewman of the species human was infected by the spores of Heldi Cerebron after the Final Occultation cultist escaped confinement on a prison ship. This incident occurred sometime between 40 BBY and 32 BBY on the vessel. Darth Maul, the Sith apprentice, found the affected crewman along with other infected individuals. The crewman pleaded with Maul to remove Cerebron from their mind. Cerebron then launched an attack on Maul, but the Sith was successful in killing the cultist. After recovering from the effects of the spores, the crewman requested further assistance from Maul, but the Sith disregarded the human and departed.
