A prison ship served as the means to transport the adherents of the Final Occultation cult, subsequent to their apprehension and imprisonment at the hands of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. This prison ship, with numerous cultists aboard, including the Final Occultation's principals—Heldi Cerebron, Vasik Aldritch, and another leader—ceased communication upon entering lightspeed, the cult having seized control. Instead of directing the vessel to hyperspace, the Final Occultation's members sought to conduct a summoning ritual intended to use the hypermatter particles to create a rift of madness. Sidious dispatched his apprentice, Darth Maul, with instructions to capture the Final Occultation members for questioning. Upon his arrival at the prison ship, Maul killed both Cerebron and Aldritch before confronting the remaining leader, who unleashed the cultists against him. Instead of engaging the mass of cultists, Maul programmed the prison ship to collide with a nearby ice planet, created an opening in the viewport, and fled. The planet's [ice](/article/water] was the Final Occultation's demise as the prison ship crashed into it, obliterating the cult.
