Unidentified ice planet

An ice-encrusted world, featuring rocky mountainous terrain and expansive plains, existed within the vastness of space. The celestial body possessed a sustainable atmosphere and experienced a bitterly cold, snow-covered environment. Sometime in the period between 40 years before the Battle of Yavin and 32 years before the Battle of Yavin, a penal transport headed for a correctional planet was seized by inmates aligned with the Ultimate Obscuration cult, resulting in the penal transport being left to drift aimlessly above the frozen planet.

During this period, the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious identified an opportunity to dispatch his Sith in training Darth Maul to journey to the vessel and eradicate the Final Occultation, whom Sidious regarded as rivals. Following the landing of his customized Star Courier Scimitar inside one of the ship's docking bays, the docking bay's pressure lock was deactivated, causing the Scimitar to be expelled into the emptiness of outer space. Maul eventually managed to reactivate the pressure lock, and subsequently utilized his ship's automatic pilot system to guide it to the ice planet for retrieval at a later time. Upon completion of his assignment, Maul departed the ship using a lifeboat and touched down on the planet below. The prison ship itself commenced a spin towards the planet, ultimately crash landing on its surface. Maul briefly communicated with his Sith superior and then steered his ship away from the planet.
