Unidentified Human Jedi (Beyghor Sahdett)

A Human Jedi, who was a member of the Galactic Republic, participated in the Clone Wars. During the events of 19 BBY, this Human Jedi managed to survive the initial wave of Order 66, which was a directive that instructed clone troopers to kill all Jedi Knights. She escaped the clone soldiers she was with by using the dense fog in her location as cover. Ultimately, she was among a group of Jedi who were apprehended and brought before Emperor Palpatine, also known as the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, who provided them with lightsabers and urged them to fight each other. Instead, the Jedi launched an attack on Sidious, who eliminated all but her and the Verpine Jedi Beyghor Sahdett. Overwhelmed by his fear and respect for Sidious, Sahdett betrayed the Jedi and killed her.

Biography

The Jedi evades capture.

A Human Jedi belonging to the Jedi Order lived in the last decades of the Galactic Republic. She was a combatant in the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems that began in 22 BBY, fighting alongside the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. In 19 BBY, this Jedi was part of a squad of soldiers located in a forest near some ruins. Her clone troopers received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, a directive ordering Republic forces to execute the [Jedi Knights](/article/jedi_knight-legends], labeling them as traitors. When the clones turned on her, the Jedi successfully avoided capture because of the dense fog, which hindered their ability to find and kill her.

Around 19 BBY, she, along with four other Jedi, including the Verpine Beyghor Sahdett, was eventually captured, starved and beaten. Soon, the Jedi were brought before Emperor Palpatine himself, whom they recognized to be a Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. The Emperor handed lightsabers to the Jedi and her fellow captives, encouraging them to duel one another for the right to survive under his rule. The Jedi had not given in to fear, however, and attacked the Sith as one, yet Sidious' prowess with the Force and a lightsaber allowed him to kill three of the Jedi in an instant. She and Sahdett were the only two left standing, shocked at how quickly their compatriots had been slaughtered. Sahdett, however, enraptured by awe and fear of Sidious' power, turned on the Jedi and rammed his blade through her stomach, killing her. Around that year, when Sahdett—who had become an agent of the Sith—was later captured by surviving Jedi Master Kai Hudorra, he attempted to justify his actions by explaining the encounter with Palpatine where he killed the human Jedi.

Personality and traits

The Jedi is killed by Beyghor Sahdett.

The Jedi had fair skin, green eyes, and dark red hair. She, along with the other captive Jedi, refused to fight each other when Darth Sidious encouraged them to do so, and instead, they all attacked the Sith Lord, even though they were no match for his power.

Powers and abilities

Being Force-sensitive, the Jedi managed to avoid being killed during the initial stages of Order 66.

Equipment

The Jedi was dressed in brown and gray Jedi robes and wielded a blue lightsaber. She also wore a tiara on her forehead, which had a red stone in the center. At the time of her capture, she was wearing a different tiara, with a silver stone at the center.

Behind the scenes

The Jedi's first appearance was in the seventy-ninth edition of the Star Wars: Republic comic series, which was written by Randy Stradley under the alias "Welles Hartley," with illustrations by Douglas Wheatley, and it was released on November 9, 2005.

She was later seen again in Dark Times—A Spark Remains 3, a comic written by Stradley and released on September 18, 2013, where she had a slightly different appearance. Nevertheless, Stradley confirmed that it was the same character, and her inclusion in that comic was a response to some fans who felt there were too many Jedi surviving in the Republic comic series.
