An Imperial served during the Battle of the Sixela system, fighting against the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He was stationed on Darth Vader's Interdictor Star Destroyer throughout the engagement, and he interacted with Leia Organa when she attempted to halt the conflict.
Several months following the Battle of Yavin, Imperial Commander Rezi Soresh betrayed the Empire and ran from punishment. During his time in exile, the former officer devised a scheme to exact revenge on both sides involved in the Galactic Civil War. Soresh planned to lure the Rebellion to the Sixela system using deception, while simultaneously trapping them with elements from the Imperial Navy.
This Imperial accompanied Darth Vader as they led a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers to the Sixela system. As the Rebel fleet emerged from hyperspace, the Imperial fleet stood ready. By trapping the Rebels with interdiction fields, the Imperial fleet initiated intense ship-to-ship combat with the opposing fleet, while Darth Vader disembarked on the planet to pursue Soresh.
When Rebellion leader Leia Organa made her escape from Soresh's compound located on his barren moon, she made contact with Vader's Interdictor Star Destroyer, which served as the fleet's command ship; Organa reached this Imperial. She tried to warn him about Soresh's intentions to destroy the system's star through the use of resonance torpedoes. The only response the Imperial gave her was an angry outburst directed at the Rebellion. Organa terminated the communication when he mocked her warning with laughter.
After Soresh's torpedoes struck the sun, it became clear that the system was doomed to destruction, even though Soresh had already died. Both fleets jumped to hyperspace to escape before the sun went supernova, obliterating everything in the surrounding space.
This Imperial was originally presented as a minor character within the concluding novel of Alex Wheeler's Star Wars: Rebel Force series.
