Unidentified Jedi Master (Endar Spire)

During the Jedi Civil War era, specifically in 3956 BBY, a Jedi Master, a female of the Human species, served within the ranks of the Jedi Order. She was among the Jedi accompanying Padawan Bastila Shan aboard the Republic Endar Spire, a Hammerhead-class cruiser. While the ship was positioned above Taris, a planet situated in the Outer Rim, a Sith fleet launched a surprise ambush and subsequently boarded the vessel. In the midst of the ensuing conflict, she confronted a Dark Jedi who had infiltrated the ship, engaging him in combat within one of the corridors. Although she successfully overcame her opponent, killing him, she perished moments later when an explosion occurred in the wall directly behind her.

Biography

The Jedi duels a Dark Jedi aboard the Endar Spire.

This woman, who possessed the Force-sensitive trait, held the rank of Jedi Master within the Jedi Order by 3956 BBY, during the Jedi Civil War that pitted the Galactic Republic against the Sith Empire. In that year, she traveled with Jedi Padawan Bastila Shan on the Republic's Hammerhead-class cruiser, the Endar Spire. The Endar Spire was sent to the ecumenopolis of Taris, located in the Outer Rim, with the mission to counter the Sith fleet preparing to invade the planet. However, the Sith flagship, known as the Leviathan, was positioned above Taris, prepared to pull the Endar Spire out of hyperspace. The crew of the Endar Spire was unaware of the flagship's presence, and the cruiser subsequently fell victim to the ambush. A Sith battle fleet, commanded by Darth Bandon, the apprentice of Darth Malak, the then-reigning Dark Lord of the Sith, boarded the vessel.

In the course of the assault, the Jedi encountered a Dark Jedi who had gained access to the Endar Spire. A lightsaber combat ensued, amidst explosions within the ship's corridors. Trask Ulgo, a Republic soldier, and Revan, a former Sith Lord whose memories had been erased and replaced with those of a Republic soldier, entered the hallway as the duel's climax approached. Ulgo advised Revan against intervening, suggesting that their involvement would hinder the Jedi's chances of success. After several more exchanges of blades, the Jedi struck a decisive blow against the Dark Jedi, resulting in their demise. Immediately following the victory, a portion of the wall behind the Jedi exploded, leading to her death. Ulgo expressed his disappointment to Revan, lamenting the loss of the Jedi's assistance in their escape from the ship.

As a member of the Jedi Order, this Jedi utilized a blue lightsaber with a single blade and wore the standard beige and brown Jedi robes. Her attire also included a brown utility belt, mauve pants, and brown gloves and boots. Her hair was styled in a ponytail, secured with a black cloth. At the time of her death, she was carrying a vibration cell for upgrading melee weapons and an adrenal strength stimulant.

Behind the scenes

An alternate appearance of the Jedi

The Jedi Master made her debut as a non-playable character in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a video game created by BioWare in 2003. Players encounter the Jedi in a cutscene that cannot be skipped, during which she meets her end. Following her death, players have the option to retrieve a vibration cell and a stimulant from her remains. Interactions with the Jedi do not influence quest progression or alignment shifts. However, game files from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic mistakenly identify the Jedi Master as a male Sith apprentice.

The Jedi's appearance is shared with one of the possible appearances for a female player character. If the player selects that particular face at the start of the game, the Jedi Master's appearance will change to another of Revan's potential faces, featuring green eyes and dark hair in a long ponytail. Canonically, within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Revan is confirmed to be male in the 2008 Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide, published by Wizards of the Coast, which means the original appearance would be used. The face is used multiple times in the game, resulting in the Jedi sharing her appearance with several other non-playable characters.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Prima's Official Strategy Guide, released in 2003 by Prima Games and written from Revan's perspective, described the woman as one of "your own Jedi Masters."
