The Sith armada, alternatively referred to as the Sith battle fleet or simply the Sith fleet, functioned as the navy for the Sith Empire during the time of the Jedi Civil War.
Following the conclusion of the Mandalorian Wars in the year 3960 BBY, the Jedi figures Revan and Malak spearheaded approximately one-third of the Galactic Republic's navy into the uncharted Unknown Regions of the galaxy, ostensibly to pursue any surviving Mandalorians. Nevertheless, these Jedi encountered the Sith Emperor and subsequently fell to his corruption. The Dark Lord convinced the pair to journey back to Republic space with their entire fleet and to seek out the mythical Star Forge, an ancient Rakatan superweapon.
In 3959 BBY, Revan and Malak made their return to the Republic, utilizing their naval forces to ignite the Jedi Civil War. They successfully located the Star Forge and employed its shipyard to considerably expand their navy with newly constructed starships.
Subsequently, in 3956 BBY, the naval force—under the leadership of Admiral Varko—participated in the Battle of Rakata Prime. A Republic naval contingent, guided by a group of Jedi, launched an assault on the Star Forge. During this engagement, the Sith armada received reinforcements from both the Star Forge's defensive systems and its starship production capabilities. However, with the demise of Darth Malak aboard the station during a duel, the Republic fleet successfully obliterated the station, resulting in the severe depletion of the remaining Sith fleet.
