Unidentified Jedi student

The male Jedi apprentice was studying at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy during the time of the Disciples of Ragnos crisis. A fellow student, Rosh Penin, voiced his frustrations to this student, complaining that his master, Kyle Katarn, wasn't nurturing his potential and seemed to be holding him back by not assigning him important missions. The Jedi apprentice disagreed with Rosh, suggesting that their masters were likely hesitant to send students on dangerous assignments until they were absolutely certain they were prepared.

This Jedi apprentice also participated in the Battle of Korriban, fighting his way into the Tomb of Marka Ragnos alongside Jaden Korr and several other Jedi Masters. During the conflict, he fought with an orange lightsaber that had the Adjudicator hilt design.

Behind the scenes

Milton James provided the voice for this student in Jedi Outcast, while Cam Clarke voiced him in Jedi Academy. This canonical Jedi student appears in certain cutscenes within Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, where he has spoken lines. Unlike the majority of other Jedi characters in that game, this particular student is not generated randomly.

In the game's non-canonical dark side ending, Jaden Korr is the one who ends his life. Upon Korr's arrival on Korriban, the Jedi student immediately detects the presence of anger and hatred within Korr, demonstrating a non-canonical understanding of Force sense. Depending on the difficulty level selected, the enraged Korr either uses telekinesis to throw the Jedi student into a pillar, killing him and another Jedi Knight before proceeding to the Valley, or he must defeat him in a lightsaber duel to continue, just as he must do with all the other Knights (which is required regardless of difficulty). During this non-canonical duel, the Jedi student demonstrates skill in lightsaber combat, but he is defeated relatively easily.

The model used for this Jedi student also appeared in Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast as one of the possible models for the standard Jedi student NPCs seen around the Academy during the levels that take place there. It's possible that this is the same student, but at an earlier point in his training.
