A celestial body of the terrestrial type was notable for a vast junkyard sprawling across a large portion of its terrain. This junkyard, filled with various items including droid parts, was protected from unauthorized access by robotic sentinels. Following the Sith Lord Darth Vader's destruction of the droid bounty hunter IG-88, the remains of the droid were abandoned within this junkyard. RB-919, an engineer contracted by the bounty hunter Deva Lompop for the purpose of repairing IG-88, piloted their starship to the object in space to recover the droid's shattered form. Having eliminated the defense droids that posed a threat, RB-919 transported IG-88 onto their starship and restored him to operational status. Subsequently, IG-88 killed RB-919 and commandeered the starship to continue Lompop's assignment. However, the droid bounty hunter was unable to fulfill his mission and sustained damage that freed him from the constraints of Lompop's directives. In a state of existential questioning, IG-88 piloted RB-919's starship back to the celestial junkyard. After landing and venturing out into the junkyard's landscape, IG-88 planned to enhance his own operational software.
