He encountered the Sith Master Finn along with his apprentice on a planet within a structure for a transaction. Following the completion of their transaction with the individual, Finn, accompanied by his apprentice, departed from the establishment and triggered the explosive device they had planted within, resulting in the death of the man.
The initial appearance of this individual occurred in the brief comic titled "The Apprentice," presented in Star Wars Tales 17 and authored by Mike Denning. Subsequently, the narrative was incorporated into a trade paperback edition and re-released within Star Wars Tales Volume 5. Hypothetical narratives featured in Star Wars Tales 1 through 20 were initially categorized as S-canon until a reference to them appeared in a source outside of the Tales series, at which point the subject matter was promoted to C-canon status. Due to the inclusion of the comic's subject matter in the entries for Finn, Marka, and Lod within The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, the character's depiction in The Apprentice is thereby elevated to C-canon.
