Development

Rob Williams presented the concept for the story "Ghosts of Hoth" to Jeremy Barlow, who was working as an assistant editor at Dark Horse Comics and overseeing the Star Wars Tales series. Williams crafted the story as a concise eight-page piece, which greatly impressed Barlow. This led Barlow to request that Williams contribute further stories to the series, eventually leading to Williams' involvement with the Star Wars: Rebellion series.
