A pirate was an individual who belonged to a pirate group, engaging in combat with the New Republic's Rapier Squadron during a battle that occurred within the Mirrin sector. After Rapier Leader, Poe Dameron, was taken as a prisoner, he was delivered to the pirate for questioning. The pirate inquired of Dameron about how he and his squadron had discovered their whereabouts, but Dameron delayed by recounting an anecdote from his youth. Ultimately, the pirate became enraged and commanded that Dameron be cast out into space and that his X-wing starfighter be dismantled. However, Rapier Squadron arrived to save Dameron. Subsequently, Dameron managed to escape and capture the pirates.
