A teacher, holding the title of professor, instructed students at the Chiss Academy, which was located in the Unknown Regions. Before the Clone Wars commenced in 22 BBY, specifically prior to the beginning of that conflict, the professor tasked a youthful Chiss pupil, Sev'rance Tann, with training a collection of beings known as the Yresilini. These creatures were thought to be incapable of being trained, with the goal of creating an army. Tann achieved success in this assignment by instilling a fear of death in the Yresilini as the consequence for not obeying, and the professor awarded her a favorable evaluation for her work.
The professor's existence was noted within Sev'rance Tann's profile in the LucasArts video game, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns, which came out in 2002.
