During the Cold War and the Galactic War against the Sith Empire, the Republic Military employed a certain kind of transport. This particular transport featured a hangar bay on each flank, both shielded by force fields, and was deployed on locations such as the planet of Alderaan and the moon Oricon, the latter of which saw at least a single transport suffer a crash. A vessel belonging to the same class was included in the Alliance's naval forces and engaged in the Battle of Zakuul. Furthermore, during the third Galactic War, one of these ships functioned as the flagship for General Ardinondu Dipolus Daeruun.
