A species capable of sentience had established itself on Orvax, a planet situated in the Outer Rim, by the time 382 BBY arrived. In that year, a Pathfinder team from the Republic, under the leadership of Jedi Knight Gella Nattai, embarked on an expedition with the goal of initiating contact with this species on their homeworld. Nevertheless, after communication efforts proved futile for three days, the equipment belonging to Nattai's team started to vanish. Consequently, the team departed Orvax without success and provided a report to the Jedi Council.
Zoraida Córdova mentioned this species in her 2022 novel, Convergence. This novel is a component of Phase II of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
