An Ugnaught merchant peddled jogan fruits upon Lothal while the Galactic Empire held sway. Leading up to the Battle of Yavin, the Ugnaught, accompanied by his Lothal astromech droid, was confronted by a pair of stormtroopers. These troopers informed the salesman that vending the fruits was forbidden in that particular alleyway. As the Ugnaught tried to offer a bribe, the troopers moved to apprehend him, but the Lasat rebel Garazeb Orrelios intervened, incapacitating the Imperial soldiers and rescuing the Ugnaught. The Ugnaught then attempted to give Orrelios the same credits he had tried to use as a bribe, but Orrelios refused the money, choosing instead to take a jogan fruit.
