A Weequay had connections to the character known as the Grandfather of Vice during the era of the Galactic Civil War. In the year 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry sought shelter on the planet Ankhural to fix their damaged starships; the Grandfather of Vice aided the company in steering clear of conflicts with the planet's gangs.
The 61st's soldier named Brand caught up to the Weequay in an Ankhural marketplace, walking alongside him. She then questioned him about whether the local gangs on the planet had any problems with her company. The Weequay guaranteed her that there were no issues or questions from the gangs as of yet, and so Brand paid him with credits, telling him to let the Grandfather of Vice know that she appreciated his assistance. Brand thought the Weequay's face looked like a desiccated corpse, and he walked with a limp when he met with the soldier, addressing her in the language of Huttese.
The Weequay character was featured in the 2015 book titled Battlefront: Twilight Company, penned by Alexander Freed.
