The initial, unnamed story of The Keeper's World saw its release in Pizzazz 1 during October of 1977. The complete storyline was later republished within the pages of the UK's Star Wars Weekly 47 through _50 between 1978 and 79, and also in the scarcely distributed Star Wars 0 comic from 1999.
Plot summary
Some time following the events of the Battle of Yavin, Luke and Leia are on their way to the Rebel headquarters located within the Akuria system. Their mission is to provide security against a potential surprise Imperial assault targeting Yavin 4. While traveling to their destination, R2-D2, seemingly not fully repaired after the Battle of Yavin, makes an error that sends their spacecraft spiraling away from its intended path. This malfunction forces them out of hyperspace right in the heart of an Imperial armada.
