Untitled Star Wars film (Kevin Feige)

A self-contained Star Wars picture was in the works at Lucasfilm Ltd., with Kathleen Kennedy and Kevin Feige assigned as the project's producers, and Michael Waldron penning the script. Alan Horn, the head of Walt Disney Studios, initially verified the film's existence on September 25, 2019. However, by 2023, the project faced cancellation.

On September 25, 2019, The Hollywood Reporter published a report stating that Kevin Feige, the chief of Marvel Studios, had conversations with Kathleen Kennedy, President of Lucasfilm, and Alan Horn, chairman of Walt Disney Studios, about "an excursion into the Star Wars realm" during the late summer months of that year. In the same article, Horn validated the film's development. On November 10, Feige expressed his feelings about the movie by commenting, "I love that world and I love the notion of exploring new people and new places in that universe." Later, on December 15, Kennedy mentioned in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that Feige had presented the film's concept, but it remained in the preliminary stages.

On January 7, 2021, Deadline announced that Michael Waldron was chosen to be the film's screenwriter. Waldron verified this information on June 3 during a Vanity Fair interview. In a May 6, 2022 interview, Waldron confirmed he was actively working on the script. On May 10, Waldron clarified that the film was designed as a standalone narrative.

Variety broke the news of the film's cancellation on March 7, 2023, indicating that Kevin Feige was prioritizing Marvel Studios' future projects. At Star Wars Celebration 2023, Kathleen Kennedy, in an interview with IGN, contradicted the reports of a Star Wars film being developed with Kevin Feige, stating, "it's not an abandoned project, it just didn't happen." Anthony and Joe Russo claimed on May 4 that they had initial discussions about directing Kevin Feige's Star Wars movie. On November 7, Feige himself confirmed in an interview that the film was no longer being developed.
